About
Charlotte Crofts' research is both through traditional publication and media practice. She is currently developing an iPhone application called the 'Curzon Memories App', a location-based guide to the Curzon Community Cinema in Clevedon, UK which uses GPS and QR codes to trigger memories and soundscapes of the cinema's history. She is also interested in the impact of digital technology on feature film production, exhibition and preservation, which she has explored through publication (see 'Digital Decay' and 'Cinema Distribution in the Age of Digital Projection' - forthcoming) and through practice (see 'The Look: Exhibition and Display'). She has also published on Angela Carter's writing for radio, film and television and her short story, 'Flesh and the Mirror' and other Japanese writings, 'The Company of Wolves', as well Terrence Malick's 'Days of Heaven'.
