About
I am a Graduate Student and Visiting Lecturer at Bristol University and the University of the West of England and a Royal Institute of Philosophy Jacobsen Fellow. I am supervised by Dr. Iain Hamilton Grant at the University of the West of England and Dr. Andrew Pyle at the University of Bristol. I am currently doing my doctoral research on Leibniz’s metaphysics and the attempts to reconstruct his system in the 18th century, by philosophers such as Wolff, Maimon and Lotze, and in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by the British idealists, such as James Ward and John McTaggart.
I am also particularly interested in Platonism in Early Modern Philosophy and the philosophy of Malebranche.
I am the co-author of ‘Idealism: The History of a Philosophy’ together with Iain Hamilton Grant and Sean Watson.
